In both Thumsters basic, and Thumsters Plus, you are able to edit the value of your thumb reasons. This value is a token, like money. We call them Thumbucks in Thumsters. When you are giving a Thumb, this is the small number in the corner representing what value will be added to a Goal or the Thumb Bank (Thumsters Plus) or subtracted for Down reasons.
How to change the Thumb reasons value
Open "Settings" βοΈ in the top right hand corner
Tap 'Edit thumb reasons'
Find and tap the reason for which you want to change the value (you can toggle between the Up and Down reasons at the top of the screen)
Edit the Reason Value by selecting one of the predefined values or enter your own value in the Other Value field and Tap save.
How do Thumb Values affect reporting, goals and the Thumb Bank?
Reporting
If you modify a reasons Thumb Value Reporting is not affected. Reporting only shows the INTERACTIONS, eg. How many times Thumbs Up or Down are Tapped not their Thumbuck Value.
Goals and Thumb Bank
Thumbuck Values will be added or subtracted depending on the value of the reason given.
Here is an example:
Bella is given a Thumbs Up for loading the dishwasher, the reason given is 'Chore(s)'. Mom has changed the value of Chores from preloaded value of 1, to a new value of 5. Bella chooses to apply this thumbs up to her Thumb Bank.
In the reports, Bella's Thumbs Up counts go up by one.
Her Thumb Bank shows an increase of 5 Thumbucks.
Reports = Interactions
Goals/bank = Thumbuck Value
