The Thumb Bank is a way for Kids to save or spend thumbs they've received, instead of automatically applying it to a goal. Choosing to use their thumbs later enhances their understanding of saving and goal-setting, and is a good way to teach the age old lesson: you can only spend 'money' once!

Sending thumbs to the Thumb Bank is easy: when you have given your child a thumbs up, chosen a reason, you will get to the 'Assign to a Goal' screen. If you would like to send the thumb to the Thumb Bank instead of immediately applying it to a goal, simply click on the purple 'Send to Bank' button, and confirm on the next screen.

You can see the Thumb Bank in both the Parents View, and the Kids View. In parents, it is in the dashboard screen (second icon at the bottom of the home screen). Click on the Thumb Bank Tile and you will see the thumb bank, along with any goals that have been set up. You/your child can 'spend' thumbs in this screen (allocate to a goal) by pressing on the chosen goal. If you want to undo an action, click on the undo arrow (bottom left of screen). Once you have finished allocating thumbs, press the Lock in Thumbucks button at the bottom of the screen.

If you have added enough thumbs to achieve a goal, the goal achieved screen will pop up. This shows: number of thumbs it took to achieve the goal, number of days it took to achieve the goal. There is a Close button OR an Award Now button. Use the award now button if you are going to give your child their Goal Reward immediately. To store it to use/redeem later, hit the Close button. The Reward can now be found in the Goals tile on the Dashboard screen.

Spending thumb bucks in the kids view screen: When your child would like to spend some of his thumb bucks, click on the thumb buck tile. In the banks screen they will see all the current goals they are working towards. They can allocate a thumb buck to a goal by clicking on the goal. If they want to undo an action, they click on the undo arrow (bottom left of screen). Once they have finished allocating thumbs, press the Lock in thumbucks button at the bottom of the screen.

If they have added enough thumbs to achieve a goal, the goal achieved screen will pop up. This shows: number of thumbs it took to achieve the goal, number of days it took to achieve the goal. Unlike the goal achieved screen in the parents view there is no option to 'Award Now'. This is to prevent kids accidentally hitting the button and having their achieved goals disappear from the app. Devastating!! The achieved reward will now be stored in the Goal tile in the kids view home screen, hit the Rewards side of the Goals/Rewards button. Rewards can ONLY be redeemed in the Parents view, not in the kids view.

PLEASE NOTE: When viewing the Thumb Bank, you will not see the total number of thumbuck coins. Eg. you may have 65 Thumucks, but you will only see approx 20 coins visually in the bank. Your thumbs are there!
