Streaks in Thumsters are a powerful tool designed to help parents and kids build positive habits and stay motivated. When your child consistently makes positive behavior decisions, Thumsters will track these consecutive days of success, creating a "streak." The longer the streak, the more rewarding it feels, encouraging your child to keep up their positive behavior. Streaks help turn good behavior into a consistent daily habit, making it a natural part of your child's routine.
The magic of streaks lies in their ability to foster a sense of achievement and momentum. As the streak grows, so does your child's motivation to maintain it. Breaking a streak can feel like losing progress, which naturally encourages them to stay committed to making those positive decisions every day. It's not just about keeping a streak alive; it's about building lasting habits that contribute to a positive and thriving family environment.
Ultimately what begins as an intrinsically motivated behavior choice (doing something to get a goal or maintain a Streak) very quickly turns into an extrinsically motivated healthy behavior habit.

On your child's Dashboard you can view their current streak on the Streak tile. Tapping on the tile will show you the full calendar, indicating when Streaks start and when they are lost.
